WhatsApp marketing in South Africa and abroad that only talks to people who said yes.
Your customers already live on WhatsApp. We set up opt-in campaigns, approved message templates and an AI agent that answers questions about your business, all POPIA-aware and built around WhatsApp's own policies.
WhatsApp works. Sending to the wrong people gets you blocked, or worse.
WhatsApp gets read. That's why businesses are tempted to buy lists or blast every number they've ever collected.
That's a bad idea. POPIA limits who you may send marketing messages to. WhatsApp can limit your number if too many people block or report you. And nobody likes a business that won't stop messaging.
Done properly, WhatsApp is one of the most personal ways to sell. It just needs consent, clear rules and quick answers.
How AI helps, inside the rules.
An AI agent that knows your business
It answers questions about your products, bookings and orders when a customer messages you, including after hours. It always offers a way to reach a person. It's built for your business only, not as a general "ask me anything" chatbot, in line with WhatsApp's business terms.
AI-drafted message templates
Messages you start (like promotions or reminders) must use templates WhatsApp has approved. AI drafts them, we edit them, then we submit them for approval.
Sorting contacts by what they agreed to
AI helps sort your opted-in contacts by the kind of messages each person agreed to receive, so specials only go to people who asked for specials.
Faster follow-up
AI drafts replies and follow-ups for your team to approve, so leads don't go cold.
POPIA-aware WhatsApp: how we handle consent and data.
This is how we set up campaigns, explained simply. It isn't legal advice. For advice on your situation, speak to an attorney.
- Opting in
We only send marketing messages to people who have agreed to receive them. We help you collect that consent clearly, at checkout, on your website or in a chat. It names your business, says the messages will come on WhatsApp, and says exactly what they'll get. The box is never ticked for them.
- Existing customers
POPIA allows a business to market its own similar products to an existing customer, if you got their details when they bought from you, they got a free and easy chance to say no at that time, and they get that chance again on every message.
- Asking once
If someone isn't a customer and hasn't agreed, POPIA only lets you ask them for consent once, in the way the POPIA Regulations set out, and not at all if they've already said no. We don't buy or use cold lists.
- Opting out
Every marketing message says who it's from and how to stop the messages, for example "Reply STOP to opt out". When someone opts out, they come off the list and stay off.
- What data we keep and why
Only what a campaign needs: the person's name and number, a record of when and how they agreed and what they agreed to, any opt-out, and the messages needed to answer them. We keep the consent and opt-out records so we can show who agreed and make sure nobody who opted out is messaged again.
- Who sees it
Access is kept to the people who need it. Your customer data stays yours. WhatsApp messages are processed by Meta, partly outside South Africa, so we tell your customers this when they opt in.
- A person is always reachable
The AI agent hands over to a human whenever a customer asks, or the question needs one.

Is WhatsApp POPIA compliant?
WhatsApp is a channel. Whether your WhatsApp marketing meets POPIA depends on how you collect consent, handle opt-outs and look after the data. Our campaigns are POPIA-aware, built around POPIA's direct marketing rules, but we're not your legal advisers. Speak to an attorney for advice on your business.
Can I send WhatsApp marketing to my whole contact list?
Only to people who agreed to receive it, or existing customers who were given the chance to say no. If you're not sure how a contact was collected, don't message them.
What is the WhatsApp Business API?
WhatsApp's system for businesses that message at scale, use approved templates, connect a CRM and run automated replies.
How much does WhatsApp marketing cost?
Meta charges for certain message types, and Meta sets those charges. Our setup and management are quoted per business.
Can the AI agent answer anything?
No, and that's on purpose. It answers questions about your business only, and hands over to a person when needed.
Do you run WhatsApp marketing outside South Africa?
Yes. Other countries have their own privacy laws, so we'll ask you to confirm the rules that apply to you.
